Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you on behalf of the Bhutan Network Operators Group 9 Coordination Team (btNOG9 Coord Team). btNOG9 Coord Team - a group of volunteers of the Bhutanese ICT Community - is organizing the ninth edition of btNOG annual meet – btNOG9 - at the *Royal University of Bhutan* in *Thimphu**, Bhutan * from *10**-**14* *October** 20**22*
Bhutan Network Operators Group (btNOG) is an informal group set up to provide an educational and operational forum for ICT Professionals working in Bhutan on Internet technologies and operational practices to discuss matters of mutual interest, exchange technical information, and learning, and discuss specific implementation issues, usually through a combination of a mailing list and annual meetings. As such it has no owners, just a small group of dedicated individuals who look after the mailing list and organize the regular meetings. More information on btNOG is available on our website https://nog.bt
btNOG meetings are organized every year with support from local and international partners like yours. We have had 8 successful btNOG meetings in the last 8 years – btNOG9 is the 9th Edition of the btNOG Annual Meetings. Unlike during the pandemic, btNOG9 will mark the return of the physical event after two years.
btNOG9 will have the following workshop tracks followed by a day’s conference:
1. *Linux Administration* (10th October to 13th October 2022) 2. *Network/Information Security* (10th October to 13th October 2022) 3. *Conference *(14th October 2022)
Workshop Participants will learn to implement, operate, troubleshoot and support network and its related services based on these subjects. Both workshop tracks will be focused on service providers as well as enterprise campus network operators, i.e. government and corporate offices, academia, and private businesses establishments. These courses will be delivered by international experts supported by local resource persons.
btNOG is a non-profit initiative. btNOG collects nominal registration fees from participants to attend the meetings- conferences and workshops. Registration fees collected help cover a small portion of the costs to organize the meeting, while significant portions of the costs are met by our sponsors. Considering this, btNOG9 Coord Team has set *Registration Fees *of *Nu. **3**,000 per head per workshop track*. This shall enable participants to access both Conference and one of the aforementioned workshop tracks.
Limited seats are available. The conference has 120 seats and each workshop track has 35 seats available.
We would like to therefore request you to send your ICT professionals to attend the btNOG9 conference and workshop. Kindly send participants' details over email to btnog-coord@nog.bt. We will then send the registration link directly to the participants. If you have any questions or require any additional information on the btNOG9 Meeting, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Kinzang Pelden at +97577303411.
Thanking you
Sincerely
Chair, btNOG9
