Dear SIG Members
APNIC seeks final editorial comments on the following draft document:

This document has been updated to reflect the implementation of the policy proposal "prop-031: Proposal to amend APNIC IPv6 assignment and utilisation requirement policy".
The change is as follows:
- Section 3.3.3, "IPv6 address space", incorporates the HD ratio change from 0.8 to 0.94
The draft document is available at:

This draft is intended to implement the consensus decision reached at APNIC 20 and endorsed by the Executive Council on 25 November 2005 in relation to proposal prop-031-002. Details of the original proposal and links to discussions are available at:

Nature of the document review ----------------------------- This is an editorial review only. The APNIC community has already reached consensus on the policy issues which are to implemented.
Therefore, during the comment period, interested parties may:
- object to the draft document on the grounds that it does not properly reflect the consensus decision reached in the Policy Review Process; - suggest improvements of any aspect of the document; - request that an additional call for comment be made to allow more consideration of substantial revisions.

According to the EC minutes for the endorsement of this proposal on November 2005 (*) it says "The EC formally endorsed this proposal, subject to its implementation not having an effect on the per-address fee schedule."

However this document does have an effect on the per-address fee schedule. So I feel this document doesn't properly reflect the consensus decision reached in the policy review process.
I would appreciate your clarification.

Thanks for pointing out the EC minutes regarding this proposal. We're currently reviewing the changes needed internally and will comment publicly to the list very soon.
