Dear SIG members
Call for nominations for Policy SIG Co-Chair --------------------------------------------
Due to the resignation of Eugene Li, APNIC is seeking a volunteer to serve as Co-chair of the Policy Special Interest Group(SIG). The Co-chair is a volunteer position whose responsibilities include undertaking any of the tasks normally performed by the SIG Chair, if requested. This may include:
- chairing the SIG session - developing the agenda - posting proposals and information about the SIG to the SIG mailing list - encouraging and facilitating discussion on the mailing list and at the APNIC meeting
For more information about the role of Co-chair, please see the draft SIG guidelines at:
http://www.apnic.net/meetings/archive/sigs/draft-guidelines-v001.pdf
If you are interested in becoming a Co-Chair, please include a short biography and description of your interest in an email to sig@apnic.net and CC sig-policy-chair@apnic.net.
The deadline for receiving nominations is 28 February 2007.
There will be an election at the Policy SIG meeting at APNIC 23 in Bali, Indonesia, 1 March 2007 to choose the new Co-chair.
Reminder: call for nominations for Policy SIG Chair ---------------------------------------------------
This is a reminder that nominations for the position of Policy SIG Chair are still being accepted. The original call is at:
http://www.apnic.net/mailing-lists/sig-policy/archive/2007/01/ msg00021.html
All SIG Co-Chairs undertake this work on a volunteer basis. APNIC Secretariat speaks on behalf of the community in being very appreciative of the work done by the Chairs and Co-chairs.
Kind regards,
