                        Hi everyone,
PITA, Save and I are in fairly advanced stages of preparations to hold a
PacNOG workshop/meeting from 20th to 25th June (next month) in Nadi, Fiji.
While many of you will already know about this via PITA, I thought it
would be useful to announce it here. The workshop will be single track,
spending 3 days on systems, and 3 days on BGP routing/multihoming.
Content will potentially include:
1. network security (includes virus/spam/firewall/intrusion detection)
2. monitoring (isp network level) will be good
3. server's load balancing/clustering/redundancy
4. Design and utilization of wireless technologies in net building
5. intro to BGP
6. eBGP presentations and labs

simple eBGP
route filtering
as-path filtering
use of MED and local preference
eBGP to multiple ISPs
7. introduction to iBGP

troubleshooting
Obviously all this will easily take more than the 6 days we've been
planning around, so we are working on refinement at the moment.

We are planning on meeting on Sunday afternoon/evening for introductions
and a short conference style event, before starting the workshop proper
on Monday 20th June.
