After some further feedbacks, topics expressed include:
1. Linux sysadmin (as core) with IP fundamentals and a bit of network
security is proposed based on requests for LINUX skills when doing security
course in last sessions
2. Routing (Advanced) - we proposed basic/intermediate but advanced has been
requested
3. Monitoring and Management has also been asked
The discussions is ongoing and we have not yet finalised
One of the needs will be in the feedbacks on numbers to attend to ensure
the resources assigned are not wasted with less than 15 attendees unless
it's a specialist subject
Because of the difficult access to expert trainers for us in the Pacific
Islands, we try to maximise on the opportunities, and therefore in the past
had juggled in crash courses and supplementary sessions before the core
courses so that we do not spend whole week on doing on pre-requisite
requirements and/or learn more on other things of interest in addition to
core courses to provide the required skill and working capability to take
home
Help us finalise the offering and we will look doing some numbers as well

We're pleased to pre-announce the location of the next PacNOG (16) on
01-04Dec to be in the Solomon Islands which Solomon Islands Telekom (Our
Telekom) is kindly arranging logistics as host. Thank you Our Telekom; we're
awaiting local details.
Also so far on training track topics, tentatively on offer are:
Track 1. Linux sys-admin/IP Fundamentals 3days + network security best
practices
Track 2 - still open for requests (by default IPv4/IPv6 outing/BGP - either
basic level or advanced level)
Conference presentations - open for proposals on network operation & best
practices topics/ encourage operational level country case stories on
network development or issues
Tutorials - open for requests
Pre-registration link will be provided as soon as local details are
confirmed, but feel free to contact us for early interests and for
inputs/request for topics as per above

We're now preparing for PacNOG 16, with ongoing venue discussions and to be
confirmed shortly.
In parallel to that, we need to organise for trainers, and thus the need to
identify and finalise topics for the conference and training.
To kick start this process, we would now invite everyone for their inputs to
the training topics that PacNOG could consider for its next session, at the
PacNOG 16, from 01-05 Dec 2014.
Feel free to indicate your topics and elaborate, specify scope and level to
be covered, and discuss also justifications from your contexts
Our experts and resources are in the email grouping for any further liaisons
to help us arrive quickly at the priority topics and also a plan for the
training contents/syllabus
Note that we will be looking at holding 2 training tracks only for that
week, so the process to elaborate, specify and discuss as above will be of
significant importance to quickly develop content and syllabus, as well as
confirm the required trainers.
Appreciate your earliest comments and cooperation - discuss online or
