Dear All,
Please be informed that Dr. N. Sudha Bhuvaneswari is nominated for NRO NC election which will be going to held upcoming APNIC 48 at Chaing Mai on Thursday, 12 September 2019. This time she is the only female nominee among the four nominees. If she nominated she will be the first elected NRO NC women in the entire APAC region. As a coordinating body of worlds five RIR's the Number Resource Organization (NRO) was founded since 2003. NRO NC was established 2004 and is comprised with 15 members from the five RIR (3 member from each RIR).
Responsibility of NRO NC members:
Performing the role of the ICANN Address Supporting Organization (ASO) Address Council. This includes:
* Undertaking a role in global policy development. * Providing recommendations to the Board of ICANN concerning the recognition of new RIRs * Defining procedures for selection of individuals to serve on other ICANN bodies * Advising the ICANN Board on number resource allocation policy in conjunction with the RIRs
