My name is not Jari. I am not a member of the IESG.I have however submitted a draft to the IDR Working Group proposing that the IANA make such a reservation in the AS Number registry (http://www.iana.org/assignments/as-numbers/ )
The IDR has accepted this as a Working Group draft (http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-idr-as-documentation-reservation-00.txt )
I have requested the chair of the IDR Working Group to conduct a Last Call on the document, as there has been what I would interpret as a rough consensus to see this document published in a timely manner (Ron Bonica's comment to the IDR mailing list: "I'd like to see it advanced quickly (i.e, before the Minneapolis meeting)." expresses that sentiment most concisely).
I'd like to think that the document is straightforward and if the will and efforts of the document's author can exert any influence on the speed of its progress, then the document is certainly in a position to be advanced through the IETF review process to be published as an Informational RFC within the timeframe described by Ron Bonica above.
GeoffAnother Disclaimer: I'm not Jari. I'm Geoff. And, surprisingly, Geoff is precisely whom I'm speaking for here. Noone else.
