Final Call for Comments to Dissolve Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The APNIC Secretariat would like to announce that final comments to
dissolve the following Special Interest Groups (SIG), as directed by the
APNIC SIG Guidelines, are required by 17:30 on Tuesday, 13 December
2011 (UTC +10).
- Database SIG
- DNS Operations SIG
- Internet Exchange SIG
- IPv6 Technical SIG
- Routing SIG
Members can post their comments to the relevant mailing list at:
http://mailman.apnic.net/mailman/listinfo
Under Section 2.2 of the Guidelines, SIG members may decide to dissolve
these SIGs where there are signs that a SIG has outlived its purpose.
This is recommended as an appropriate course of action.

At the APNIC 32 AMM, APNIC Members approved the recommendation by
relevant SIG Chairs and Co-Chairs present at the Meeting to dissolve
these SIGs.

In the interests of openness and transparency, the APNIC Secretariat
requests that relevant SIG members make their final comments. The APNIC
Executive Council (EC) will then review these comments before a final
decision is made.
