Reminder: call for policy proposals ------------------------------------
We invite you to submit policy proposals for APNIC 24. To submit a policy proposal, you have two options:
1. Use the online form at:
http://www.apnic.net/cgi-bin/policy_proposal.pl
2. Send your proposal in TEXT format to the Policy SIG chair at sig-policy-chair@apnic.net, CCing sig@apnic.net.
Deadline for submissions: 6 August 2007
Final call for presentations and tutorials ------------------------------------------
This is a final reminder of the 15 July 2007 proposal deadline for papers and presentations for the joint APNIC and SANOG meeting and tutorials.
The meeting will consist of eight sessions, including APOPS sessions, over two days. We welcome proposals on talks that you think are relevant to the operational and Internet research communities.
Please submit your proposals using the online form at:

Possible topics of interest for tutorials and presentations include:
- Prevention and mitigation of DoS attacks - Routing policies and architecture for scalable IP and broadband networks - Internet Exchange Point operations - Peering techniques and policies - BGP multihoming techniques - Trends and technology and updates in security and routing - MPLS and QoS implementation experiences - Traffic management and measurement - Network migration issues (IPv4 to IPv6, Layer 2 to IP) - Voice and multimedia over IP - Managed network services including security and VPNs - Mail servers, spam prevention - Wireless technology and applications - Regional updates
Please note:
- Presentations should be 20-30 minutes long with technical content. - Marketing and sales content in presentations is against the spirit of the meeting and is strictly prohibited.
