Dear Community Members,
With great regret I must inform you that Toshio Tachibana, NIR SIG Chair,
has tendered his resignation from the role due to work commitments.
Toshio san informed me last week that he is no longer able to fulfil the
requirements of the role as he will soon transfer to a new position within
his company.
On behalf of the community, I would like to sincerely thank him for his
hard work in the role of Chair. Toshio stepped into the role at a time
when the SIG was in need of a leader and has shown dedication and
responsibility in the voluntary role.
The Secretariat requested one of the Co-Chairs to become Acting Chair and
they have agreed that Ajai Kumar will assume the role. Zhen Yu will
continue as Co-Chair.
An election will be held as the first agenda item at the next NIR SIG
meeting.
