Hi everyone,
I am just asking around if anyone has a spare BUC 20watt which they can spare for our friends in the Tokelau islands? If you are do have one please note that there is a boat leaving Samoa on the 16th September which we can place this unit on.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Alex

Hi Mike,
Long time no talk. I'm seeking your help please. We were by email last Friday Samoa can't ring Tokelau. We lost our converter on 8/8/06 and our replacement is only a 10watt BUC. It was working fine until we had a commercial power outage for 2 and a half hours on 21 August 2006, then from then on we started getting problems with our international and national calls. We can ring out but takes 10 to 15 attempts before we're through.
1 Can you please arrange with your people to do test calls that's still the case today? We have been wrecking our heads around the problem for the pass 8 to 9 days.
2 Do you have a spare codan 20watt BUC we could use to tie us over until we get our repairs from Codan Australia back? If so the next boat to Tokelau leave Apia 16 September 2006.
3 If not do you know of anyone else with a spare?
I will email Fred at PITA as well.
Best Regards
Tino

hello tino (and alex),
have you performed any diagnostics to confirm that the issue is with the BUC vs with the modem or the LNB ?
