Forwarding to you the notice and invite to the upcoming APNIC Networking
From Home program, as further outlined below; We thank APNIC in organising
this program and extending the invites.
Networking from Home is an APNIC initiative that we fully support from PacNOG and PITA, and happy to partner with objectives to help build capacity and engender more excellent networking amongst the internet engineering peers. The APNIC NFH program includes different sessions for technical folk in the four distinct subregions of Asia and the Pacific, in sharing experience and expertise.
This forthcoming session on 04 August is for the Oceania region.
Target audience
Network Technical Managers and Engineers from Internet Service Providers and IP Network Operators in public and private enterprise networks.
Date:
The online program is to be held on 04 August 2020, but the invitation for proposals to do presentation close on 27 July.
Proposals for case presentations from Operators
We strongly encourage network players to consider presenting on any of the topics of interest listed below for the benefit of exchange and takeaways. Feel free to propose other relevant topics if not included in the list.
Program
A half-a-day event to discuss and exchange on Internet operations and technologies.

The APNIC committee will be managing registrations as there will be a limit of 30 participants

* IP core network routing, switching and operations * IPv6 deployment and transition technologies * Managing COVID-19 related network challenges - network scalability, performance, teleworking, security, observations * Access and transport networks including Cable/DSL, LTE/5G, wireless, metro ethernet, fibre, segment routing * Network security issues (NSP-SEC, DDoS, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware) and BCPs * Software defined networking, network function virtualization and network automation * Content & service delivery (Multicast, Voice, Video, Telepresence, Gaming) and cloud computing * DNS / DNSSEC and RPKI * IXPs and Peering * Internet of Things (IoT) architectures, standards, services, security, addressability, and manageability * Smart Cities architecture, security, and addressing * Research on Internet operations and deployment
