Hi all,
APNIC 20 is now underway in Hanoi, Vietnam.
You can tune in remotely in a number of ways. Watch live webcast, read live transcripts or thru jabber chat.

Group,
I've inherited a Cisoc 3620 Router / Network - some info below. It is used in a 256 Kbps link outbound only from here on Nauru via NSS5 and Sydney. Inbound traffic is via a 'VSAT' reciever into the network.
One of its primary uses will be for outbound international calls - at this stage - VOIP traffic via a PTSN network in Sydney. Secondary use will be for Internet traffic.
What is needed is to prioritise traffic outbound from a Quintum AXT VOIP Gateway - static IP - here, to its 'opposite number' - also a static IP - in Sydney.
A "....simple QOS structure prioritizing traffic to www.xxx.yyy.zzz (our VOIP Gateway) should suffice to start with...." is the request.
Would someone please point me in the right direction to achieve this, assuming the 3620 (as configured) is capable.
Thanks,
Jon

I'll try to find you a config example, but briefly, you probably want to tag based on both source and destination IP address, so that you aren't accidentally prioritizing-up attacks against either, or competing VoIP traffic that you're not getting paid for directly. Once the traffic is tagged, you just define a priority-queuing scheme, and you should be off and running.
Philip may have a config example for you as well. Sorry, in a hurry else I'd find one for you right now.
