APPLY NOW for funding support for this Course.
Remote Sensing Image Acquisition, Analysis and Applications
If you are interested in advancing your skills, knowledge and understanding of Earth Observation Data then consider enrolling in this Coursera MOOC offered by Professor John Richards. John was my lecturer and mentor
when I did my Masters in Remote Sensing at the University of New South Wales many years ago.
We will set up an online community to support you where you will be able to access USP Tutors and myself to help you through the MOOC. Once you have completed the MOOC you will then help you undertake your own project
using remotely sensed data using any of the datasets and techniques you will have learned.
This opportunity is kindly supported via a grant from IEEE-GRSS. This pays for the course fees so you will receive a Coursera Certificate at the end you can use for career development.
We will also be moving to establish a Pacific Chapter as part of the engagement.
Note: For USP
#GS311
students, you will be doing this MOOC as part of your studies this semester, so congratulations, no need to apply.

Dear GIS-PacNet,
As the Remote Sensing Image Acquisition, Analysis and Applications MOOC fast approaches (see below) it's not too late to participate in the MOOC supported by our Pacific GRSS Slack Channel Community. All of the course fee support has been allocated but you can still do the MOOC for free and participate in the Slack Channel AND get to undertake your own project using earth observation data after the MOOC has finished in early January 2022.
Let us know if you'd like to join us in this exciting Pacific wide collaboration on Earth Observation training and education.
If you want to participate just email me on nicholas.rollings@usp.ac.fj
regards,
Nick
Associate Professor in Geospatial Science
University of the South Pacific
