Hi Everyone, btNOG9 dates have been finalised for 10-14 October 2022, and will be hosted in Bumthang as an in-person event (subject to site inspection by btNOG Coord Chairs).
The plan is to run:
- 3 different hands-on workshops over 4-days on Network Essentials, Linux System Administration and Information/Network Security, delivered by local instructors with help from international instructors (where feasible).
- 1-day of btNOG9 conference
The btNOG9 Programme Committee (PC) is responsible for solicitation and selection of suitable presentations for the btNOG conference.
We are now seeking volunteers from the Bhutanese community to join the btNOG9 PC to help develop the programme for btNOG9 conference.
Eligible PC candidates are those who have attended btNOG or SANOG/APNIC/APRICOT conferences in the past, and are involved in technical (ICT) work.
As btNOG9 PC members, you are required to: - actively seek presentations or content from their circle - be able to review the presentation proposals on technical merit - commit to participate in regular PC conference calls, and - commit time to help develop the programme for btNOG9
If you are interested in joining the PC and meet the eligibility criteria, please send a unicast reply to this email with the following details: - affiliation (organisation you work for) - a brief summary (1-2 sentences) of why you would make a good PC member - along with your contact details
Please make sure to send in your expression of interest before 5pm (BST) 26 August 2022.
Thanks, — Tashi (on behalf of btNOG9 PC)
