Callers impersonating APNIC: Election scam warning ________________________________________________________________________
APNIC is aware of reports of Members receiving unsolicited telephone calls ('cold calls') to encourage voting for certain candidates in the upcoming EC election, and the calls are reported to be from persons claiming to represent APNIC.
These calls are NOT from APNIC. The APNIC Secretariat will never call Members to discuss EC election candidates.
Please do not provide any personal or account details to these callers.
There is a Code of Conduct in place for all nominees in the EC election which specifically prohibits impersonating others and misuse of the APNIC Whois Database for electioneering.
https://www.apnic.net/code-of-conduct-for-ec-nominees
If you receive any unsolicited call about the EC election from anyone claiming to represent APNIC, please report the call, the phone caller’s number, and any other relevant details (such as any candidate being promoted) to APNIC so we can investigate.

Confirmed breaches of the code will be published online for transparency.

Hi,
I also receive the same thing but from other group. So, everyone has formed a grouping and asking to vote to their group only. 😊😊
Nothing wrong in campaigning imho. But impersonating APNIC or anyone else is against ethics. Although in the mail trail, the screenshot which you have shared , I m not finding anyone impersonating apnic.
Regards,
