Dear Colleague,
Under the terms of the current ASO Memorandum of Understanding (MoU),
the next election for an Asia-Pacific seat on the ASO Address Council is
due to be held during the APNIC 18 meeting in Fiji in September 2004.
However, the Number Resource Organization (NRO) and ICANN have signed a
letter of intent to form a new ASO MoU, which is expected to finalised
sometime in the next few months.
Therefore, the APNIC Executive Council has decided to defer the AC
election, pending a final outcome in the MoU negotiations.
