25th APNIC Open Policy Meeting 25-29 February 2008, Taiwan, Taipei ________________________________________________________________________

Elections ---------
During the APNIC 25 Annual Member Meeting (AMM) in Taipei on Friday, 29 February 2008, two elections were held:
- APNIC Executive Council
An election was held for three vacant positions. Congratulations to the successful candidates:
- Che-Hoo Cheng - Akinori Maemura - Ma Yan
- NRO (Number Resource Organization) Number Council
An election was held for one vacant position. Congratulations to the successful candidate:
- Kenny Huang

Meeting decisions -----------------
Policy SIG
Seven policy proposals were discussed. The following proposals reached consensus and were subsequently approved at the APNIC Member Meeting. These proposals are now subject to a 'last call' for comments:
prop-053 Changing minimum IPv4 allocation size to /22
prop-057 Proposal to change IPv6 initial allocation criteria
The following proposal will be returned to the Policy SIG mailing list for further discussion:
prop-055 Global policy for the allocation of the remaining IPv4 address space
The following proposals did not reach consensus and have been abandoned:
prop-052 Cooperative distribution of the end of the IPv4 free pool
prop-058 Proposal to create IPv4 shared use address space among LIRs
The following proposal will be revised by its author:
prop-050 IPv4 resource transfers
The following proposal was withdrawn by its author, who will submit a new proposal based on the IPv6-related elements of the proposal:
prop-056 IPv4 soft landing
NIR SIG
There was one proposal discussed in the NIR SIG. It reached consensus at the NIR SIG, was approved at the APNIC Member Meeting and is now subject to a 'last call' for comments:
prop-054 NIR operational policy document revision
