Following several rounds of open consultations, the Leadership Panel is a response to the Secretary-General’s Roadmap for Digital Cooperationhttps://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fundocs.org%2FA%2F74%2F821&data=04%7C01%7C%7Cf85cf03b2e02496ad47a08d9a2d275f9%7C127d8d0d7ccf473dab096e44ad752ded%7C0%7C0%7C637719847079626329%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=JMw3PTlvGAjBxrr8gFPTL3nkh9qe48Jr2%2FycKgYJa10%3D&reserved=0, which calls for strengthening of the IGF through, among other aspects, ’’creating a strategic and empowered multi-stakeholder high-level body, building on the experience of the existing multi-stakeholder advisory group, which would address urgent issues, coordinate follow-up action on Forum discussions and relay proposed policy approaches and recommendations from the Forum to the appropriate normative and decision-making forums.’’
