Some of you have been introducing yourselves when joining the list; I think this is a great idea, so I will do the same.
My name is Siena Perry and I have been working as the Communications Manager at APNIC for four years. I am passionate about diversity in tech as I believe better decisions, better processes and outcomes, and a better world is made by a people with broad range of experiences and perspectives.
The APAC ICT Women group’s mission is to: Support and encourage greater numbers of diverse female leaders in the Internet technology sector in the Asia Pacific who are able to fully contribute to a strong and healthy Asia Pacific Internet community.
Objectives are: For women working in the Internet technology sector in the Asia Pacific:
1. Increase participation in a range of community activities including speaking engagements, program committees, fellowships, community trainers, policy making and discussion, and more 2. Build technical and leadership capacity by sharing best practices, experiences and other resources 3. Facilitate professional networking in the Asia Pacific including continuing the conversations begun, and the strengthen the connections made, at Women in ICT and Tech Girls events
Thanks again for your contribution and let’s keep sharing!
